Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reacted angrily to suggestions from Bolton that his bid for their defender Gary Cahill was "derisory".<br /><br />The Gunners' offer - reported to be £6m - was rejected by Wanderers and criticised by their boss Owen Coyle.<br /><br />In addition, Trotters chairman Phil Gartside re-posted a message on Twitter from a Bolton fan angered by the bid.<br /><br />"That number is completely wrong," said Wenger. "If Gartside can say I am lying I am ready to confront him."<br /><br />The Frenchman added: "I believe every negotiation is between two parties and you only have to sell the player if you are all right with the price.
